My grandmother bought this in 1940 from an antique dealer in New Westminster. She had it upholstered in this lovely pink fabric which is now in need of some TLC. I'm guessing this is late 1800's/ early 1900's but don't know for sure. Likely English or North American parlour chair that wasn't mass produced. It has a solid hardwood frame, cabriole legs with pad feet, scrolled arms and traditional joinery.
It has survived the test of time, been well loved in our family for over 80 years and is now looking for a new home. It is very sturdy and in good shape.
Upholstery shows wear and would benefit from reupholstering, making this ideal for a decorator, restorer, or someone looking for quality antique pieces with excellent bones.
Perfect for a living room, reading nook, bedroom, or design project.
