We are looking for a Lead Cook to join our kitchen for the summer season. Our Kitchen staff take great joy in creating abundant, healthful and nourishing meals for our island community and our seasonal tourists. We embody a strong work ethic and carry out our duties with a positive attitude at all times. We prepare a selection of popular and delicious meal offerings both from our menu offering, in addition to made to order items. We cook from scratch and work collaboratively w/our Bakers to give you freshly made innovative meal offerings, using the finest organic and local ingredients, when available. We offer a selection of local meat dishes, in addition to vegetarian and restricted diet options. We are a team centered workplace. You love cooking and serving the highest quality meals. You are professional in your demeanor and embody clear and mature communication. We have continuous deadlines, work in a fast-paced environment on our feet at all times. You operate all equipment safely. You may be asked to work outside regular business hours or split shifts, as needed which may include evenings, weekends, holiday and extended hours as business dictates. You enjoy people and are friendly, yet stay focused on your kitchen responsibilities. You have a high level of personal hygiene, are reliable, respectful and on time. You are able to receive directions and feedback listening in a respectful manner. You are at ease with the pressure of deadlines and manage your time wisely. You are organized, dedicated, energetic and able to self-direct, once routines are established. Previous experience necessary. Accommodations may be available June through September.
