Solid shampoo bar made specifically for dogs. Do NOT use this on a cat. The pH is very close to neutral, 7, which is what is safe for a dog's skin.

I have added colloidal oatmeal to shamPOOCH because according to a veterinarian-written book about dog skin conditions, oatmeal actually helps. Aventhramides are the compounds in oatmeal that have been identified to have the skin-soothing properties in oatmeal.
This is much easier to use than liquid shampoo because you just rub it all over the wet fur, lather it in, wash it out. With a liquid shampoo, there is the potential of the bottle spilling its contents, losing the product and requiring a clean-up on aisle 9. ☹️ Liquid shampoo has a shelf life because the preservatives in it have a shelf life, so after about 3 years from production date, the preservative is no longer keeping the liquid safe from microbial or fungal contamination.
This is also much easier to use when washing the underside of the dog versus a liquid shampoo.
SCENTED ONES: There is a VERY SMALL(!) amount of lavender essential oil in it, simply to make it more pleasant for the person washing the dog(s).
UNSCENTED ONES: Some are NOT scented (because I forgot to add the lavender ess'l oil. Ba ha ha ha!)
There are conditioning ingredients in the shamPOOCH to soften the fur and make it easier to brush/comb it, if the fur is long and this is needed.
SOME of the shamPOOCH bars might have a little dehydrated beets in it, simply as an indicator to ME that all the ingredients are well-combined. There is no magic in the beets being in the shamPOOCH. The beets were grown locally, and I sliced, dehydrated & ground them up myself (view the photos).
ShamPOOCH should be stored in a see-through container between uses, AFTER IT HAS DRIED, simply to keep it from getting dusty between dog baths AND so you know what it is. Maybe tape the shamPOOCH wrapper onto the container, or otherwise label it yourself. Maybe draw a dog on the label 🐶 😃.
I've included photos dog owners have sent me of their dog being washed, or napping after the washing or sitting up nice after being cleaned 😁.
Here are some comments people have written, about how shamPOOCH worked for them & their dog(s), along with photos:
I used it on a VERY greasy, yeasty westie and his skin looked much nicer after and it was deeper cleaning than I expected. The owners were happy at pickup and were really happy that the shampoo bar was made locally they thought that was “so rad!” It was amazing. I wasn’t expecting it to get him that clean.

The shampooch worked great: nice lather and doggy fur was nice and soft. The best part: the dogs did not try to roll in all manner of stinky things immediately afterwards, which is what usually happens with OTHER doggy shampoo. They liked the scent and did not roll in anything. Winning. It really was the biggest bonus that the dogs didn’t immediately roll on the ground - with other dog shampoos it was like they were trying to get the smell off themselves. With shampooch, they were just totally chill and clean.

My dogglets smell great after their bath. The bar was so much easier to apply than fighting gravity with a liquid on all the underneath bits! I will let you know how these two, and their notoriously sensitive skin do. 3 days after their bath with ShamPOOCH: No itchy mutts and on day 3 they still smell nice 😊

Winston is clean and smelling wonderful after we used your shamPOOCH with oatmeal bar. Also since he’s been washed he doesn’t seem to be itching like he was beforehand.

I used the shamPOOCH the very next weekend after receiving it. It worked lovely! I like it so much more then the liquid shampoo because I was able to suds her up all over where I found the liquid would be wasted if I tried it rub it under her belly (or take multiple small doses) It also smelled lovely. I don’t think she cared for it but that’s likely more the bath experience 😆

Also lathered and cleaned well on my lab. It cleans well for sure. I’s just prefer more scent.

I right liked the ShamPooch. My old boy has skin issues and your bar left his skin nice and soft and he didn’t scratch at all after his bath, I will most definitely getting some more.
