We are currently looking for one unique individual candidate who can multitask and take on various jobs while working with a great team and individually with minimal supervision. You will be responsible for various yard duties at our plant which include truck and bin washing, painting bins as well as keeping our yard clean. The other part of the job is working as a loader on our garbage trucks. You will be responsible for working with a driver on a rear loader diesel truck while safely collecting and loading the trucks with garbage, organics yard waste and recycling material at the curb

Responsibilities
• Safe and efficient loading of garbage, recycle , and yard waste trucks. Yard maintenance.
• Conduct all activities in accordance with the collection schedule
• Collect garbage/recycling/yard waste from residential neighborhoods, apartment buildings, businesses, and other facilities
• Work safely in accordance with WorkSafeBC and our company policies
• Communicate with driver and supervisor regarding concerns or suggestions
• Dispose of curbside collections according to set policies and procedures at the designated disposal sites. Mainatain yard and equipment cleanliness.
Qualifications
• Must be physically fit and embrace a hard work ethic
• Safety minded approach to the daily tasks
• Ability to work outdoors and safely lift up to 50lbs
• Customer service and public interaction skills – written and verbal
• Ability to pass a criminal record check and drug/alcohol test
• Reliability, dedicated and team minded
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Wage: $20.96/hr starting wage
$22.06/hr and additional bonus incentive after 3 months' probation.
$1,000 hire bonus to be paid out after passing probation.
Fully paid benefits after probation.
