Affordable Restorative and Yin Yoga (Courtenay)

I am a newly certified yoga teacher specializing in Restorative and Yin Yoga, which is a very gentle, healing, relaxing, meditative form of yoga where the poses are held for a long time and props are used to make the poses comfortable, which really helps in healing the body, reducing stress and increasing flexibility.

I also specialize in Trigger Point Therapy, Foam Rolling, Meditation, Barefoot earthing (grounding), Chakra balancing and clearing and may combine these elements to my yoga classes.

I want to offer affordable yoga to people in the Comox Valley. Once I get some more interest I hope to have regular classes scheduled in my home (for donations, whatever you can afford). So please tell me if you are interested in this happening or not.

I know that some people might be less comfortable coming into someone's house to do yoga, but it is the best way to keep costs down and my house is easily accessible right in the middle of town near Billmoore Park/Tin Town area, and it is a very relaxing, safe, spiritual, zen home, and I have a beautiful yoga studio area set up in the main living room next to a spiritual altar with gorgeous crystals, and all the props you will need for your class, although you are welcome to bring your own mat, bolster and strap if you would like. There will be relaxing music, candles and tea and sometimes I may have different themes for each yoga class, such as trigger point therapy, positive affirmations etc.
I also have a hot tub and sauna here, if that is ever something you'd like to add to your class it could be arranged!

I have two cats living in the house (in case anyone has allergies).

I am also offering Private 1 on 1 lessons. If you come to my house, it is by donation only.
If you want me to meet you at your home or anywhere else in the Comox Valley it will be 15 dollars an hour to cover gas. We can do yoga anywhere else in the community, such as at the beach, up at the pool in the steam room, or at any of the local parks. I really do encourage outdoor yoga sessions because it is very good to do yoga barefoot or out in nature for the extra grounding health benefits. Of course that might be more attractive to most people in the summer, but I am a nature lover - I even do yoga and barefoot meditating outside when it's stormy out!

Please don't be afraid to send me a message and ask questions and arrange something with me, I am a very friendly, positive, spiritual young woman trying to establish my client base here in town. The reason I became a Yoga Teacher is because I love Yin and Restorative yoga and believe that I can offer it in a way that is unique and especially healing to people, but also because I couldn't afford to go to the yoga studios in town all the time and that's why I am passionate about offering classes by donation only, to help people out!
