I have just replaced the preamps in 2 Fender FR10's with Archangels preamps.
These amps are only 2-4 months old and worked fine except for the inherent "hiss" that Fender likened to a Sports Car that was powerful and therefore noisy.
They then produced a fix for the noise...but now they don't have as much treble response.
So these are the original ones with hiss but sound great and the hiss is not noticeable when playing, even quietly at bedroom levels.
These FRFR's are getting excellent reviews even with the hiss.
