ISO SUMMER WORK -construction, marine, biological technician (Comox Valley and beyond)

Greetings friends,

I am looking for some challenging and uplifting work to keep me busy on the island. I am taking a year off from a seasonal gig in fisheries science up in the Yukon so I can connect with my Van Isle community and broaded my skill set. I have a background in construction trades, specifically carpentry and love being on the tools, organizing sites and materials and learning new ways of building. I can perform general maintenance on small motors, happy to do yard/farm work and light repairs that involve heavy lifting!

I come with most hand tools, saw and drills, a vehicle with a small trailer that could help with loads up to 700lbs but small in size.

I am also an aquatic and terrestrial biological field technician with marine vessel experience, Small Vessel Operator Certificate, Restricted Operator Certificate - Marine a scientific dive master, Wilderness First Aid, Swiftwater Rescue Technician and would love to work on sailboats.

Additionally, I aminterested in gaining experience sustainable building, boat repairs, trail building and environmental restoration. I come with PAL, ATV/UTV safety training and lots of experience on job sites ranging from small residential to remote field to huge industrial and everything in between!

To sum up, I am up for almost anything challenging outdoors, constructive, ethical and fun.

Share with anyone you may think could use a hard worker with diverse skill set, flexibility and great personality.

Thanks!
