Bates road near Waveland
condition: good
make / manufacturer: Stanley
model name / number: 65
You can disregard the price I’ve stated; consider the options listed below:

- Stanley no. 60 1/2 - $30

- Stanley no. 65 (very old one) - $70

- Stanley no. 65 (later production) - $60

There are no defects or issues with the no. 60 1/2. Made in England. Hefty weight for its size. Nice brass and paint, Barely any wear from use.

Very old no. 65. Replacement blade. Typical hairline crack at each corner of the mouth. Still in working condition, however. Depth adjustment is fine (not stripped or worn from mis-use). Comfortable knuckle-cap.

Later type no. 65. Same typical hairline cracks; otherwise perfect shape all-around. Knuckle cap has all of its nickel plating. Say “nickel knuckle” five times fast!

At some point in the manufacturing history of the no. 65, the width of the bed was changed slightly. I have no idea whether this affects part interchangeability.

All of these have tight-fitting functional adjustable mouths. A very good shop tool for the occasional challenge.
