condition: good
make / manufacturer: US Military M416
model name / number: M416 + Roof-Top Tent
paint color: blue
year manufactured: 1966
Serious off road capable overland trailer with full sized roof-top tent.
Trailer can be used with tent at any height: fully extended position (height ~6 ‘), or partially raised, or just unfold the tent while in towing setup, great for a quick overnight on a road trip.

Details:
-Pintle Hitch. Also includes Pintle end for vehicle.

-Parking Brake

-Converted to 12 volt negative ground, all new wiring and LED tail lights
-added centre mounted licence plate bracket with light.

-Original Build Plate. (last owner drilled two holes in it to mount old rack, does not interfere with info)

-Trailer Bed and Frame were separated and both were treated with 2 coats of Rust Converter, then 2 coats of Tremclad, and then bed-liner in box. No body work done.

-Roof Top Tent: Wild Coast Tents (Nova Scotia), "Firefly" All Season RTT. Floor/sleeping area is 54" x 96". Can be used as tent only (no annex) without raising the platform, or with platform raised there is an additional Annex room (64” x 83”) with thick removable floor (great for storage and full height change room).

-Operated by 4 Electric Actuators (Lifts):
-Firgelli Premium Force Linear Actuator 24" Stroke 200lb ea.
-wiring, relays & fuse schematic was approved by Firgelli. (I have schematics)
-main up/down switch, plus each corner lift can be toggled on/off. Makes it easy to fine tune level of tent when camping, and also allows you to keep it aligned while raising/lowering.

-Built with worst case recovery in mind:
-all electrical (relays, fuses, etc) is external so no issue if problem when closed up.
-any actuator can be disconnected regardless of position. So if one fails (with the platform up, down or in-between), you can unbolt the 2 piece bracket, separating that actuator from the platform and then lower/raise the platform with remaining lifts.

-very new Marine Battery

-Wheels & Tires: from '17 JK Rubicon.
Wheels are 17 x 7.5, tires are BF Goodrich Mud Terrain LT255/75R17 (32"), ~6,000 km

-Wheel Adapters: US Wheel Adapters, made specifically to mount JK wheels on an M416 trailer.

-Fenders: custom fabricated by Campbell River Metal Fabricators.

-Suspension: custom assembly built by Courtenay Spring & Welding

-New shocks and wheel bearings

-Axle tube clearance: 14"

-Frame clearance: 22”

-Departure Angle: high angle, rough measure is about 38 degrees.

-Tongue length: pintle ring to axle tube (centre to centre): ~70"
-short, so backing-up takes some practice.

-Stabilizers/Jacks to lift tires/suspension and level trailer. There are 4 removable crank-handle jacks, but only using 2 at the front. The rear uses standard trailer screw jacks (like axle stands with fine-tuning screw). I removed the rear crank jacks because they interfered with original rack, but I have the 'receivers' that could be re-welded onto the frame at the rear to use crank-handle jacks on all four corners.

Included Extras:
-spare wheel & tire (same as what's on trailer)
-replacement tarp, original design and markings. Fits existing anchor points on trailer, but has one small hole cut out. Can use if rack is off or could modify tarp (add holes for actuators to pass through).
-orig 16” tires & wheels (maybe not orig but correct)
-orig fenders
-orig tail lights with Blackout/Convoy mode.
