Lovingly cared for and ready for its next adventure! I’ve owned this trailer since 2019 and have done almost all of the essential work these vintage trailers are known to need, focusing primarily on safety and structural functionality. I recently upgraded to a 4500 model, so it’s time to find her a new home and let another family start making memories!
I believe in total transparency when selling, so here is a complete, honest breakdown of the extensive work done and what’s left on the to-do list.
🛠️ MAJOR UPGRADES & SAFETY WORK (SINCE 2019)
• NEW TORSION AXLE: Installed professionally. The shop fully inspected the frame and frame bolts for integrity at the same time (front frame corners were previously reinforced).
• WINDOWS RESEALED: All windows removed and re-installed with new 3/4” marine plywood frames and fresh butyl tape and screws.
• CUSTOM BIKE RACK RECEIVER: Professional 2” receiver welded to rear bumper at a shop, featuring a custom crossbar tied into the frame for integrity.
• UPDATED PROPANE LINES: New lines run, including capped Y-joints if you want to add a fridge or furnace later.
• STABILIZERS & JACK: Added rear drop-down stabilizers (a total game-changer) and a double-wheel swivel jack so you can easily maneuver it on gravel.
• NOTE ON FURNACE: Removed the original propane furnace to save weight and space (pilot wouldn't stay lit), but I kept it in storage and it is included if you want to reinstall it.
✨ FEATURES & COMFORT
• INTERIOR UPDATES (Previous owner): Updated foam, upholstery, curtains, interior LED lights, and an upgraded power converter. The interior ensolite was also painted, more on that later.
• LAYOUT: Desirable front bunk configuration (folds down into a couch). Perfect for two kids, or comfortably sleeps an adult on the bottom bunk.
• POWER & PROPANE: Upgrade power converter. Dual propane tanks (one for the stovetop, one easily removed for a fire ring/BBQ). Features an A/C fridge for when you have electrical hookup.
• MAIN BED BONUS: The dinette converts to a double bed, and I am including foam topper that makes it so comfy!
• CARE & STORAGE: Always kept under cover during the winter with a running dehumidifier (necessary to prevent mould on the west coast!). BONUS: I will include a trailer cover if desired (I preferred to keep her uncovered once I had carport parking).
📋 THE HONEST "TO-DO" LIST
Every vintage trailer has an ongoing list. Here is what’s left to tackle:
• BELLY BAND: It is not currently leaking, but the metal plates are swollen, so this is a job that should be tackled in the future.
• RUNNING LIGHT BULBS: Trailer wiring works perfectly but side running light bulbs need replacement, easy fix I just haven't gotten around to picking these up.
• SPARE TIRE: It would also be great to install a spare tire mount on the tongue; right now, the spare just rides flat inside the trailer while traveling which has worked totally fine for me.
• COSMETICS: Inside, the paint on the ensolite is wearing off in places and definitely to be sanded down and redone. Outside, she always benefits from a clean and buff (I’ve done it a couple of times and she shines beautifully!). There are a few rock chips and small fiberglass cracks that could be touched up, but nothing major.
• MINOR FIXES: Closet hardware latch broke, so it’s currently bungeed for travel; side bunk light needs rewiring; front window needs re-screening (easily pushed out by top bunk kid).
CURRENTLY LOCATED IN UCLUELET, BC. WILL CONSIDER BRINGING THE TRAILER ACROSS ISLAND FOR SERIOUS BUYERS!
She is clean and ready to roll. I have tons of additional photos and receipts for the major work available upon request. I am happy to answer questions.
