I live in an apartment, so kitchen and other organic waste isn't taken away for recycling. I don't like throwing anything organic into the garbage. I live in West Courtenay and would like drop them off at a home/business within walking distance. I line my organics bucket with newspaper, and collect things like plant-based kitchen scraps, dead house plants, paper towels, shredded paper, vacuum cleaner dust, etc. However, I don't have any animal waste to get rid of, and I don't put bones or meat products in my organics bin.
